Smoky Bacon flavoured Sourdough Croutons

These deliciously crispy smoky bacon croutons only require 3 simple ingredients and are ready in just 15 minutes. We love to add these croutons to all types of salads and soups. They add the perfect crunch and flavour

You will need

Day old sourdough bread (ciabatta or French baguette work just as well)

4 tablespoons of Olive Oil

3 heaped teaspoons of Herby Hog Smoky Bacon flavoured seasoning


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F
  2. Roughly slice the bread into small-medium sized cubes and place into a large bowl. Drizzle on the oil and add the seasoning. Carefully mix until well coated.
  3. Bake on an oven proof dish for 7-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and stir. Then bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  4. Store the croutons in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
